Privacy Policy
Last updated July 27, 2026. This describes what Gate and TKTech LLC collect, how it's stored, and who can see it.
Where we are today
Gate is currently pre-launch. Right now, the only information we collect is what you give us by joining the waitlist. The rest of this policy also describes how we'll handle data once communities are live on Gate, so you know what to expect.
Information we collect
Waitlist sign-up. When you join the waitlist, we collect your name, email address, community name, approximate number of households, your role (resident, HOA board member, property manager, or guard/security company), and anything else you choose to tell us about what matters to your community.
Once your community is live. Gate is built to manage real gate access, so it holds real household data: resident household accounts, permanent and scheduled guest lists, one-time visitor passes, license plates and entry timestamps logged by guards, and arrival notifications. This is the information the product needs to do its job — none of it is collected for any purpose beyond running your community's access list.
How your data is stored
Gate's data lives in PostgreSQL databases. Depending on the size of a deployment, that database is either a managed instance hosted with Scaleway, a European cloud infrastructure provider, or — for smaller and early-stage communities — on servers we operate and manage directly ourselves. In both cases, the database is dedicated to running Gate; it isn't shared with or accessible to unrelated products or companies.
Data retention
Entry and exit logs are kept for a retention window that each community's administrators control from the admin portal — you decide how long that history sticks around, not us.
Who else sees it
We don't sell or rent your information, and we don't share it with unrelated third parties. Two exceptions worth naming plainly:
- Waitlist form processing runs on infrastructure TKTech LLC operates itself — your sign-up details stay inside systems we control.
- Site analytics on this marketing site are handled by Plausible, a privacy-focused analytics service that doesn't use cookies and doesn't track you across other sites.
Your rights
You can ask us what we have on file, correct it, or ask us to delete it, at any time. Email [email protected] and we'll take care of it directly — no ticket system, no runaround.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we'll update the date at the top of this page. We won't quietly narrow your rights or expand what we collect without saying so here.
